As Uniform highlights so many of the issues modern Irish women face we asked the women of Ireland What is the biggest issue (based on your gender) that you have faced personally? One woman answered:⁠ ⁠ Being sexualised. My looks being put ahead of my brain, it can be nice to be complimented but so often men see a pretty face and assume there's cotton wool instead of brain cells, it results in disrespect in the work place and people (mainly men) not taking me seriously, even in relationships my looks have been valued more than everything else that I am.
